The French Rural Area Development Act (RADA)
The French Ministry of Agriculture has launched in 2006 a call for annual projects, then renewed in 2007 and 2008, inspired by the French Rural Area Development Act (called RADA). The RADA is an inter-ministry and multisectorial law that encompasses the entire rural context. This is an interesting approach and its dissemination among the Euromontana members could foster new ideas and projects for the sustainable and integrated development of the mountain areas with their population.
Euromontana worked in 2006 on a presentation of the French RADA, and on what it brings to mountain areas.
Euromontana also worked in 2006 and 2007 on studies and exchanges of experience under the theme of development and attractiveness of rural territories and especially of mountain territories.
