Arrived in Euromontana mid-July 2008, Alexia Rouby studied agronomy and economics of rural development in France. After a short stay in Romania for her Masters’ thesis in political economy, she did a 5-month traineeship at the European Commission and then briefly participated in the work of Euromontana in 2003 before she entered the French Permanent Assembly of Chambers of agriculture as a task manager, where she contributed to the coordination of the network of Breeding offices for 4.5 years. She speaks French, English, Spanish and has some understanding of Romanian.

PROJECT OFFICER (Conseiller de direction) : Ancuta PASCA
Romanian
Joined Euromontana in May 2009. She studied History in Cluj-Napoca, Romania and afterwards, European law and politics in Strasbourg, France. During her studies, she completed 2 internships at the European Parliament, one with a Romanian MEP working in the Agriculture and rural development committee and in the Regional development committee, and a second one in the Directorate-General for Internal Policies, the department for the structural and cohesion policies. This is not Ancuta's first experience inside an NGO as she has been active since 2002 in “Europrietenia”, a town-twinning association between a Romanian village from Transylvania and a French one from the Vercors mountains. She speaks Romanian, French and English fluently and she has some knowledge of Italian and Russian.

TASK MANAGER (Intern) : Sophie Aubert
French
Student in agronomy, Sophie joined Euromontana in January 2013, for six months in order to realize her masters’ thesis on the new optional quality term “mountain product”. After a scientific A degree, Sophie entered the engineering school ISARA-Lyon to undertake scientific studies specialized in agriculture, agronomy and environment. During the engineering course, Sophie decided to specialize on local products by following the MSc Food Identity, managed by ESA in Angers. The courses, taking place in four countries (France, Italy, Romania and Spain) enabled her to deepen her agronomic knowledge about typical products. After obtaining her degree, she wants to work on protecting and developing local products at the European level. She speaks French, English and has a few notions in Spanish.

COMMUNICATION OFFICER (Intern): Raquel Rosel

Raquel joined Euromontana in February 2013 for a six-month internship under the Eurodyssey Programme. After finishing her Translation and Interpreting studies in Spain, she worked as International Student Support for the University Jaume I in Castellón (Spain), where she managed the Leonardo da Vinci and Erasmus Internship Programmes. In the meanwhile, she has been translating the PADIMA and Move on Green Projects for the County Council of Teruel. Raquel decided then to specialise in European Projects and attended a course on European Union at the Diplomatic School of Madrid, which allowed her to work as European Projects Assistant for the County Council of Castellón. In the future she would like to continue working on European projects for young people. Thanks to her studies and some long stays in France and Germany, she speaks French and German fluently. She also speaks Spanish, English and has some notions of Italian.

TASK MANAGER (Intern) : Damiana MAIZ

Damiana joined Euromontana in April 2013 for a four month internship under the Leonardo da Vinci programme. She finished her studies in Technical Engineering in Agriculture at the Public University of Navarra just one month before her incorporation to Euromontana with the presentation of her final thesis in soil science “Influence of the implementation of irrigation on different tillage systems in the properties of a semiarid soil of Navarra”.
