The Coopération Bancaire pour l’Europe – GEIE (Groupement Européen d’intérêt économique) is looking for partners (cities in mountain areas from any European country apart from Italy) to submit a project proposal under the measure 1.2 of the ‘Europe for Citizens’ programme, which is a European funding programme aimed at fostering active citizenship and at enhancing cooperation and exchange of experiences on topic of common interest. In particular, the measure ‘1.2 – Network of twinned cities’ finances the creation of thematic networks of European cities. The current project proposal aim to create a Network of European cities focused on the sustainable development of mountain and rural areas.
The deadline for the submission of the project proposal is on 1st September 2013. Therefore, we need a final confirmation from interested cities by Monday 19 August at the latest. If you want to take part in the project, an informal e-mail stating the interest to take part in the project would be enough. The participation in the project is completely free of charge and there is no need for any cofinancing.
