Euromontana elects its new President and Board of Directors

Euromontana organised its 2020 General Assembly online on November 18, 2020 to discuss new political priorities and activities ahead. Members of Euromontana also elected a new Board of Directors for the next 4 years. These 22 Board members, from all over Europe (EU and non-EU), are farmers, representatives from regional and local governments, researchers, leaders of local mountain association and environmental and forestry experts and will bring their expertise to the multi-stakeholders approach of sustainable development in mountain areas. Within the Board of Directors, Juanan Gutierrez (HAZI Foundation, Basque country), has been re-elected as President of Euromontana. Dominique Fayel (responsible for mountain issues at FNSEA, France), Georges Alexakis (Vice-President of Crete region, Greece), Alessandro Fede Pellone (President of ERSAF, Italy), Adrian-Radu Rey (President of Romontana, Romania) and Tor Arnesen (Researcher at the Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences, Norway) were elected as the 5 new Vice-Presidents of Euromontana. Danijel Bertović (President of the local development agency Pins, Croatia) completes this team as Treasurer of the association.
