The Pyrenees Observatory of Climate Change (OPCC) is organising the third International Colloquium on Climate Change in Mountain Areas on 22 and 23 October 2019 in Jaca, Spain. The OPCC is a cross-border territorial cooperation initiative of the Working Community of the Pyrenees tackling climate change. It was launched in 2010 under the chairmanship of the French region Midi-Pyrenees. The members of the CTP and therefore of the OPCC are the Principality of Andorra and the French regions of Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie as well as the Spanish Autonomous Communities of Aragon, Catalonia, Euskadi and Navarre.
The event will focus on adaptation and mitigation of climate change in mountain areas. Ahead of the event, the OPCC launched a call for good practices, to which you can contribute until 23 September 2019. The 5 best will be presented during the event, as examples of actions to implement to move from theory to practice when combatting climate change.
