CERVIM – Center for Research, Environmental Sustainability and Advancement of Mountain Viticulture, on the patronage of the OIV – International Organization of Vine and Wine, and organized by the Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD), the Associação para o Desenvolvimento da Viticultura Duriense (ADVID) and Faculdade Ciências da UP organise the 7th International Congress of Mountain and Steep Slopes Viticulture in May 2021.

The event will be held at the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, in Vila Real, Portugal.

The Congress is the most important opportunity to disseminate and update scientific and technical innovations of viticulture and oenology from Mountain regions. It will include an extensive Scientific program, Sessions and technical visits, Photographic exhibition, Roundtables and an interesting Social program.

 

Programme

Topics on the agenda will for instance include issues like the sustainability and landscapes in steep slope Vineyards, new technologies available for mountain viticulture, the quality of mountain products and the cultural and socio-economic context of wine production in mountain areas.

More technical sessions will also be organised to discuss the use of drones in mountainous vineyards and new markets among others. Study visits to illustrate the technical sessions will be organised in the Alto Douro wine Region.

 

Registration and logistic

Registrations will open in February 2021. Registration fees and form are available on the event’s website. More information on the venue and accommodation is also available.
