Sustainable Hub to Engage into Rural Policies with Actors (SHERPA) est un projet de quatre ans (2019-2023) avec 17 partenaires, financé par le programme Horizon 2020. Il vise à rassembler des connaissances qui contribuent à la formulation de recommandations pour les futures politiques concernant les zones rurales de l’UE, en créant une interface science-société-politique qui constitue une véritable plateforme pour la connaissance et la politique.

En 2020, la Commission européenne a lancé la préparation d’une nouvelle vision à long terme pour les zones rurales. SHERPA a préparé une contribution au processus : entre avril et octobre 2020, les plateformes multi-acteurs (MAP) de SHERPA ont étudié les défis et les opportunités et ont discuté d’une vision pour leur territoire jusqu’en 2040.

Les résultats seront présentés et discutés lors de la conférence annuelle de SHERPA. La première partie de la conférence (lundi 30 novembre) portera sur la vision des zones rurales de l’UE à l’horizon 2040. La deuxième partie de la conférence (mardi 1er décembre) portera sur la manière d’impliquer les acteurs locaux dans l’élaboration d’une vision pour les zones rurales.
