Digital Assembly 2019 is a 2 day event hosted by the European Commission (Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology) and the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Topic

The 2019 edition comes at a crucial moment for the formulation of the future European digital policy with a newly elected European Parliament and the entry into office of the next Commission later this year. The event not only offers an opportunity to take stock of what has been achieved with the Digital Single Market Strategy since 2015, but also how the EU should respond to remaining digital challenges and which priorities it should set for the next 5 years.

The event includes a plenary session with EU officials as well as a workshop on “Digital 4 communities”, where local authorities will get the opportunity to discuss how to implement smart villages thanks to a digital strategy able to boost innovation, circular economy and sustainable growth.
