The first Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP) will take place on 23-24 November 2017 in Munich.

The event is organised by Bavaria (current Presidency of the EUSALP) and the European Commission (Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy).

The EU Alpine Strategy, which was officially launched in 2015, provides a platform for cross-border cooperation projects in the fields of economy and education, infrastructure and transport, digitisation, energy and the protection of environmental and cultural resources. At the Annual Forum, representatives of the seven states and 48 regions of the Alpine region will present the activities undertaken to date on the implementation of the strategy.

Representatives from associations, municipalities, business, NGOs, research institutes, media, civil society and other interested parties are cordially invited to participate in the discussion with their ideas and suggestions on how the major challenges of the 21st century such as globalisation, climate and demographic change, infrastructure, digitisation, energy supply and protection of natural resources in the Alpine region can be addressed in the best possible way.
