Slovenian seminar on the Common Agricultural Policy and Mountains

Logo-Final-SloA seminar on the Common Agricultural Policy and Mountains will take place on Thursday the 10th of July 2014, in Maribor, Slovenia. This event is organised by the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences of the University of Maribor. The Faculty undertakes research activities in the fields of farming, food supply chains and socio-economic related issues.

The seminar aims to inform students, mountain farmers and other rural actors on the new Common Agricultural Policy. In the morning the tools of the new CAP will be presented, followed by discussions on innovation, environment & heritage, and socioeconomic impact in the afternoon.

This event is part of the new information measure « A new CAP: Mountains of opportunities » coordinated by Euromontana and co-financed by the European Union. Within this framework, 5 seminars are organised by several Euromontana’s members in France, Italy, Portugal, Romania and Slovenia in order to prepare the European Mountain Convention that will take place at the end of October in Bilbao (Spain).
