Forest Innovation Workshop 2020: registrations are open!

 

Forestry and forest-based circular economy play a major role in the EU climate, energy and bioeconomy policies. Since 2014, Euromontana has joined forces with other organisations to foster innovation in the sector by organising the biennial Forest Innovation Workshop, focused on the following four thematic areas:

  • Managing Impacts related to Climate Change;
  • Supporting Wood and Biomass Mobilisation;
  • Supporting the Provision of Ecosystem Services;
  • Improving Sustainable Forest Management Approaches and Tools.

The 2020 edition of the workshop will be hosted by the Rosewood Network, a Horizon 2020 Coordination and Support Action project, which main target is the enhancement of sustainable wood mobilisation through inter-regional knowledge transfer. This 4th Forest Innovation Workshop “Inform-Prioritize-Collaborate: Cooperation of Regions on Innovation in Forest Management, Use of Wood and Forest-related Services”, will take place on January 15 and 16 2020 in Florence, Italy.

The event will include plenary sessions oriented towards the current policy frameworks and the opportunities they offer, as well as break-out sessions to reflect upon specific issues such as climate change, sustainable forest management and biomass. Please find more information in the agenda.
