A mobile app for pedestrians and cyclists in the Swiss parks

In 2007, 19 Swiss natural parks and projects of parks gathered under the Swiss park network. This association aims at representing the interest of its members, supporting them in the creation and management of natural parks, combining the effort to increase the value of these parks and helping them to pursue the objectives set by the law regarding nature and landscapes commitment.

The network established an interactive map so that walkers can see at the glance where are situated all the parks of the Swiss country, the public transport available to reach them, the activities provided, the catering and accommodation facilities and several routes for bikes, horse riding or hiking, etc.

In the same way, a mobile app has been created to provide people with the best paths of the parks for hikes and bikes. Thanks to their smartphones, users can discover on their way the most authentic landscapes as well as natural, cultural and gustative features.
In addition, adults and children can play for real in the treasure hunt: thanks to the interactive game available on the app they can collect natural and cultural treasures along the routes and might win one of the numerous prices offered, such as a box of regional specialties or a stay in one of the Swiss park.

Know more about the Swiss park network and the Smartphone App.
