New call for proposals funding information measures on CAP

The European Commission has recently released the new call for proposals funding information measures on CAP. The proposal for information measures shall illustrate how the CAP contributes towards the delivery of the Commission’s political priorities. The deadline for submission of proposals is 14 December 2018.

The objective is two-fold:

  • to raise public awareness on the relevance of EU support to agriculture and rural development through the CAP
  • to engage with stakeholders (mainly farmers and other parties active in rural areas) in order to further communicate about the CAP.

This can be done through TV features on agriculture and innovation, farm visits, information campaigns, audiovisual and media activities, apps for smartphones and tablets to facilitate the access to information about CAP, etc.

The total budget earmarked for grants is 4 million euros. The grant amount should be of minimum 75 000€ (the minimum is higher than previous years) and maximum € 500 000. This means that minimum 8 projects can be funded.

Funding shall take the form of a mixed financing composed of a reimbursement of 60 % of the eligible costs incurred and a flat-rate contribution of 7 % of the eligible direct costs to cover the beneficiary’s general administrative costs which can be regarded as chargeable to the information measure.

The indicative implementation period of the information campaign is 1 June 2019 – 31 May 2020.

Please be aware this is a paper application process. Applications must be sent on non-stapled pages and not bound.
