Its objective is to match the gap between the high mountain potential for energy sustainable action plans (SEAPs) and the low level of undertakings so far, by using the most advanced municipalities as flagships or as locomotives. The second project is called MOUNT FOR ENERGY (Mountain Forestry for Sustainable Energy Supply Chains) and belongs to the “Bioenergy” priority. The main objectives are to foster the implementation of local wood energy supply chains in mountain areas of Europe, to promote the most efficient and locally adapted practices of wood energy management and to ensure that forestry practices develop their full environmental, economic and social potential. The other partners of the project are Fondazione Edmund Mach (Italy), Hazi (Spain), , GEIE FORESPIR (France), ERSAF (Italy), BSFD (Macedonia), Romontana (Romania), ZGS (Slovenia) and the University of the Highlands and Islands (Scotland).
