La mise en œuvre de la mention de qualité facultative « produit de montagne» de l’Union européenne : quelle est la situation actuelle dans les différents États membres ?

Récompensant 15 années de travail et d’engagement d’Euromontana sur la problématique des produits de montagne, l’usage de la mention de qualité facultative (MQF) « produit de montagne » a été protégé en novembre 2012 par l’Union européenne par le règlement (UE) N°1151/2012. Il a ensuite été complété par l’adoption d’un acte délégué (UE) N°665/2014 de la Commission en juin 2014. Depuis, plusieurs pays ont avancé sur la mise en œuvre de la MQF au niveau national. L’acte délégué a donné une certaine marge de manœuvre aux États membres (EM). A ce jour, Euromontana a pu suivre ce processus dans treize pays.

Cette étude a été publiée pour la première fois début 2016, mise à jour début 2017 puis en novembre 2017 en prenant en compte les retours de la conférence sur « Comment mieux valoriser les produits agroalimentaires de montagne ? Lancement de la Charte Européenne pour les Produits Agroalimentaires de Qualité » organisée par Euromontana le 18 octobre 2017. Cette dernière mise à jour a été faite en janvier 2019.
