Here you will find a range of past and ongoing initiatives that are inspiring to drive change in the mountains! The database includes practices from all over Europe, covering a wide range of topics and using a variety of funding instruments. The Rhodoshop initiative replicates the One-Stop-Shop concept at regional level to support stakeholders in identifying and accessing funds channelled towards energy efficiency.
Mountain communities of Polystypos, Alona and Platanistasa were engaged in the restoration of these dry-stone terraces. In total, 160 people were involved in the reflection and decision-making process, including: agriculture and forestry departments, Cyprus Agricultural Payment Organisation, local mountain communities (through community councils), landowners, local schools, and youth organisations.
