We are pleased to announce that SENSUM ltd. has recently joined Euromontana! They expect to exchange with other members on economic development, territorial cohesion and climate change and to collaborate through European-funded projects focused on climate resilience.
Annie Benarous, member of the Euromontana Senate, passed away in October 2022, leaving behind an immense legacy for the defence of Europe’s mountains.

Europe needs a change of paradigm to better deal with wildfires. Euromontana organised a policy debate at the European Parliament on 24 October as part of the FIRE-RES research project.
RUSTIK partners gathered in Parma (Italy) from 16th to 19th of October 2023 for a productive annual project meeting hosted by CREA, the Council for Agricultural Research. One year after the start of the project, the partners had the opportunity to present and reflect on the progress made in all the Work Packages and to plan the next steps for the coming year.
Laura Gascón Herrero, Employment and Local Development Officer of the Provincial Government of Teruel (Spain) and member of the Board of Directors of Euromontana, has recently been nominated as a member of the Coordination Group of the European Rural Pact.
MountResilience kicked-off in Ponte di Legno (Italy) on the 19th – 20th and 21st September 2023. MountResilience (Accelerating transformative climate adaptation for higher resilience in European mountain regions) targets mountain territories and their communities to help them adapt to climate change.

Euromontana welcomes the European Commission’s approach but regrets the lack of clarity and standardisation of the data requested. We are thrilled to announce that the Federazione Trentina della Cooperazione (FTC) has recently joined Euromontana! FTC becomes our 64th member, further expanding our network in the Alps. Based in Trento, Italy, FTC is the only representative organisation of the cooperative movement in the province of Trento.
