European sustainable energy week | Mountain Regions as catalysts for addressing Europe’s energy challenges
The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and Euromontana are gearing up for European Sustainable Energy Week!
Join us on 8 June 2026 (14:00–16:00 CET) at the Euromontana offices and Casa Lombardia, Place du Champ de Mars 2,1050 Brussels, for a session on the energy transition in mountain areas.
This event will provide a platform to discuss the energy challenges faced by mountain territories, as well as the role of these areas in catalysing Europe’s energy transition.
After an introduction to the specific energy transition challenges faced by mountain areas, participants will hear from the European Commission about the next EU budget and the tools and funding available at EU level for implementing energy policy in specific territories.
This will be followed by a panel discussion, moderated by Euromontana, in which experts will discuss how these energy challenges identified can be addressed on the ground.
Participants will then hear from the European Mountain Pact in recognizing energy transition challenges.
Register before 1st June 2026.
